Global Conversations Series

The Global Conversations series provides an opportunity for the Jayhawk community to develop an understanding of international events that shape domestic and international policy and culture through curated discussions. This series centers the voice and experiences of KU faculty, staff, and students, bringing the relevance of their research and cultural experiences into focus and connecting us to the world through first-person narratives from within our community.

By giving voice to the perspectives of those among KU faculty, staff, and students who are most familiar with a region, these events showcase the kind of dialogue that a global research university is uniquely poised to host—one that is responsive to global affairs, invites different ways of knowing, offers space for critical debate, and opens doors to new forms of knowledge production.

Through a collaborative effort led by International Affairs, the Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging, and The Commons, the Global Conversations Series showcases our commitment to hold space for inquiry, exchange, and learning across the global community across KU and the region.
