- No sleeping is permitted
- These spaces are only available to KU students, faculty, staff, and their guests (in the presence of a KU member)
- No candles, incense burning or other smoke, fume, fragrance, or flame-inducing elements are allowed
- The space is open to all people affiliated with KU at all times during the operating hours of the buildings unless specifically reserved for Diversity & Equity Office program use
- Noise, including conversation, music, singing, or audible chanting, is prohibited and efforts should be taken to keep all sound to the strictest minimum
- Any form of solicitation is prohibited
- Use of electronic devices is prohibited. Please turn off your phone before entering and do not text
- No food is permitted in the room
- Please limit your stay to 30 minutes if others are waiting
- Violation of these requirements may result in the banning of individuals from the space

The Office of DEIB, Center for Sexuality & Gender Diversity, and Facilities, Planning & Development have been collaborating over the past year. In the coming months, there will be restrooms added in Blake Hall, Budig Hall, Dole Human Development Center, Fraser Hall, Malott Hall, Murphy Hall, and Robinson Center.
Requesting an all-gender restroom in your department or building on campus
If your department wishes to investigate the possibility of adding an all-gender restroom in your building or if your department would like information regarding all-gender restroom signage, please submit a Service Request through Facilities Services to initiate the investigation. If you have a specific restroom or location in mind within your building, please include this information. Once this has been submitted, you will be contacted to discuss the options. If you have questions or concerns, contact the Center for Sexuality and Gender Diversity and the Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging.
