  • March 21 - The Academy #NoFilter Graduate Panel Series

    Tuesday , March 21, 3:30pm to 5pm, Watson Library, Room 3 West "Being a Scholar of Color in the Academy" featuring Dr. Angela Gist-Mackey, Associate Professor in Communication Studies; Dr. Joseph Brewer, Director of the Indigenous Studies Program and Associate Professor in the Environmental Studies Program; and Dr. Pritha Prasad, Assistant Professor in the Department of English.

    Wednesday, March 22, 7:00pm to 8:15pm, Virtual Event These sessions are designed to address the ways in which systems perpetuate the spread of misinformation and disinformation, especially as they stem from dominant narratives in American society. These ongoing University of Kansas events, which uplift research and a culture of responsive care, will connect teachers, students, scholars, and leaders with the tools that can better help us navigate these perilous times.

    Thursday, April 13, 6:00pm to 7:30pm, Spencer Museum of Art We will join the Emily Taylor Center for Women & Gender Equity and campus partners for the release of Disability Justice is a Feminist Issue, a collaborative zine project complementing the 2022-2023 KU Common Book Program, which features Disability Visibility: First-Person Stories from the Twenty-First Century, edited by Alice Wong.

  • March 22 - Supporting Women of Color

    March 22 from 1:00-2:30PM. An expert presenter will share current research, trends, and proven methods to best mentor and support women of color on campus based on their distinct needs. Participants will identify the unique challenges women of color experience in higher education and the ways to overcome them through establishing efficacy and capacity-building opportunities.   • March 30 - Assessment Practice & Decision Making

    March 30 from 1:00-2:30PM. During this introductory session, an expert presenter will explore what “good” data looks like and how to apply it to the work you do. The presenter at this introductory session presented by PaperClip Communications, "You will gain knowledge about core principles pivotal to effective and successful J.E.D.I. work, explore your own personal biases, and be able to tap into a framework to use in your own work on your campus with program development for faculty, staff, and students."   • April 20 - All Gender Restrooms

    April 20 from 12:00-1:00PM. At this Wellness Wednesday Webinar, we hope to help the KU community identify and utilize wellness-related offices on campus, access maps of all gender restrooms, know how to request additional restrooms, and know how to report issues.
